Champ: The Lake Champlain Monster
Part of the lore surrounding Lake Champlain, which lies along the New York-Vermont border, is the reputed existence of a "Nessie"-type monster which seems to inhabit the waters. Naturally, there are naysayers who maintain it isn't so, but for every one of them there's someone else who's sighted him and doggedly insists there's a creature lurking in the depths.
