Totem Pole Park, Foyil, Oklahoma

In northeastern Oklahoma, along the route of venerable old US 66, lies the tiny village of Foyil. If you drive into town instead of passing it by on the main drag, you can't miss the Foyil totem pole. Classics of folk art, the totem pole and several other native-American-inspired structures were constructed by Ed Galloway back in the 1940s. Mr. Galloway more or less single-handedly put together this assemblage, the largest of which is some 90 feet tall.

Foyil is on old Route 66 (now OK 66) in northeastern Oklahoma.
