Castle at Ha Ha Tonka
In 1978, the state of Missouri established Ha Ha Tonka State Park with the purchase of the former estate of businessman Robert Snyder. That estate included the ruined remains of Snyder's enormous castle-style home, which burned in 1942.
Visitors to the park enjoy caves, sinkholes, springs, a natural bridge, and of course the picturesque ruins which stand at the top of a bluff overlooking the Lake of the Ozarks. All of these features are accessible via a network of trails ranging from the easily accessible to the very strenuous.
Ha Ha Tonka State Park is in the Ozark region of Missouri, near the town of Camdenton, about twenty-five miles north of I-44.
