UFO Museum, Roswell, New Mexico
Assuming you haven't spent your life living under a rock, then you've heard about Roswell, New Mexico's claim to fame. Briefly, quite a few people living in Roswell back in 1947 are convinced that a vehicle from another planet crash-landed in a remote area outside of town.
Furthermore, the faithful are also convinced that the US government took steps to cover up the event by tampering with evidence and threatening harm to witnesses who insisted on telling their stories. Today, most residents of Roswell--whether believers, skeptics, or agnostics on the issue--seem to keep a sense of humor about the whole thing, and the town is full of odd references to the events of 1947, including street lamps decorated with alien faces.
Right on Main Street, housed in an old theater, is the International UFO Museum you see pictured here. Far from being hokey, the museum is filled with photographs, witness statements, maps, newspaper clippings, and other material surrounding the alleged UFO crash landing. It just might be enough to convince you.
The UFO Museum is right on Roswell's Main Street, near the center of town. Roswell is situated in southeastern New Mexico, on US highways 70 & 380.
